Scouting is available to youth who have completed the fifth grade or who are 11 (but no older than 17 yrs old).

** If your child has not completed the 5th grade, please DO NOT register with the Troop and contact our Cub Scout program.**

Registration

New to the Scouting Program:
If your child is new to Scouting (i.e. your child is not crossing over from the Cub Scout Pack), please complete steps 1 & 2 below.

Crossing over from a Cub Scout Pack:
If your child has been part of a Cub Scout Arrow of Light (AOL) Den and is crossing over to the Troop, please skip step 1 and go directly to step 2.

Step ​1. Complete the Online Youth Application ​and pay the registration fee with the Boy Scouts of America
The BSA registration fee is a one-time fee of $173.04 for those who are new to Scouting.  Those crossing over from a Cub Scout Pack should have already paid this fee do NOT need to pay it again.

Step 2. Complete the Troop Information form and pay the registration fee with Troop 507
The Troop 507 registration fee is a one-time fee of $62.00 and covers the cost of a Scout Handbook, Troop 507 neckerchief, turk’s head slide, Troop 507 numbers.

The Uniform

  • Scout Shirt - Supplex Nylon or Centennial Cotton Rich Poplin; (Short sleeve recommended)
  • Scout Pants - Supplex Nylon Switchback or Canvas Convertible (Forest green)
  • Scout Socks
  • Scout Belt - Forest green cotton web belt with Scout belt buckle
  • Spirit of Adventure Council Shoulder Patch
The Troop will provide the following items and do not need to be purchased:
  • Scout Handbook
  • Troop 507 Neckerchief
  • Turk's Head Neckerchief Slide
  • Troop 507 numbers (Forest green with beige background)
  • Shoulder loops (Forest green)

No Scout should be prevented from joining Scouts because of financial reasons.  Scholarships are available for membership fees, uniforms, and equipment.  Please reach out to the Scoutmaster for a confidential discussion.
